Casinos around the US are looking for any little thing that can help them increase revenue. The economic recession has pulled many customers away from casinos, and the gaming establishments have been unable to bring them back in recent months.
The Boise Music Festival 2010 should provide some relief for casinos in Idaho this weekend. The event is expected to attract thousands of music fans to Ann Morison Park, with forty bands playing across five stages.
The festival is not all about the music. A BBQ cook off will be part of the fun that visitors will be able to experience on Saturday. Tickets for the event are still available even with the bands already hitting the stage earlier today.
With fans coming from all around the country, anticipation is high at casinos that after the concert, tourists may want to experience a piece of the Idaho nightlife. The casinos are a large majority of that nightlife, and any chance at increased revenue is considered a bonus these days.
"I'm only in town for two nights," said Warren Valtey. "I'm here with a few friends to see all of these bands, but when we are done we have already planned to go play some slot machines and enjoy our evenings. We will probably go check out the casinos at least tonight, and maybe even on Sunday."
These are not small time bands that will be playing at the Boise Music Festival. The Backstreet Boys, one of the original boy bands back in the nineties, will be headlining, along with former Poison lead singer Bret Michaels. Macy Gray will also draw a big crown when she takes the stage.
