NICK CARTER: Continues Performing After Leslie Carter's Death [Review In Atlantic City]

Despite his sister Leslie Carter's sudden death last week, Nick Carter kept a brave face on and continued with previously scheduled public appearances.

The Backstreet Boys singer made a special appearance at The Pool After Dark at Harrah's Atlantic City this weekend where an insider says that despite adoring fans, "he was calm and mainly stuck with his group of friends."

Nick performed an acoustic set for the crowd for over half an hour, including the hit BSB song "I Want It That Way." After the special gig, an insider told OK! that Nick "signed a few autographs and took photos with fans. He stuck to water and tea and was in a mellow mood for most of the night."

"A bodyguard kept careful watch on him to make sure no one came into his section. He also had a hood on, but still seemed in a good mood," says a witness.

Nick had previously dedicated the rest of his tour to his sister, saying "Performing is cathartic to me, and I am dedicating the rest of my tour to my sister since she loved to watch me perform."

Also at The Pool were Real World stars Heather Marter and Dustin Zito who are currently competing on MTV's The Challenge: Battle of the Exes.
