Amid the Brazilian tour, the group celebrated birthday of Brian Littrell; show still goes through Belo Horizonte, Rio and Sao Paulo
They're back. After "This is Us" Tour in Recife, the Backstreet Boys performed on Sunday (20) at Nilson Nelson Gymnasium in Brasilia (DF), the day when Brian Littrell, one of the group members, celebrated 36 years.
"Are you ready to receive AJ, Brian, Howie and Nick?" Asked the blond Baylee, eight year old son's birthday. Shortly after being announced, the American quartet took the stage to the sound of the hit "Everybody," one of his biggest hits, whose music video is inspired by "Thriller" by Michael Jackson. However, they chose a less eccentric to the first song of the show - the "youngest" Nick Carter, NOA 31, chose a vest, while the other wore black pants and jackets. AJ pulled the choir and audience sang "Happy Birthday" in English for Brian. At this point, and the mother Baylee, Leighanne Wallace, took a cake for the singer, who thanked the fans' affection.
"I always dreamed of seeing them, but only after you get old," said Paula Pita, 24, a civil servant who lives in Brasilia and made a plate to honor Brian. "I like them since 1996, now had the opportunity and decided to do it, I love him, I'm very happy," revealed the Brasilia, which was at the scene accompanied by two friends, all the same age, using headbands and shirts with pictures Backstreet Boys.
As planned, the show began promptly at 1:40 a.m. and was 20h in duration, not entitled to the famous encore. During the show, they changed clothes several times, wearing looks more like comfortable sweaters sweatshirt, jeans, shirt and shoes, costumes or with more personalized, as in "Larger Than Life", like clothes and masks with a robot.
The Backstreet Boys have a lot of interaction with the audience. The birthday of the day was happy. He made faces and mouths, rose in a sound box on the side of the stage to get closer to the fans and even planted banana. Fresh from a rehabilitation clinic, AJ was bald with a goatee and a few extra pounds, but that did not stop dancing and playing with the public. Nick was pulled sensual poses and squeals from the audience, as Howie D, who left the curls of his early career, handing out smiles and waved.
The four take turns on stage, dancing and singing, accompanied only by a DJ who also plays keyboard, drums and percussion. They risked a few words in Portuguese as "beautiful" and "thank you" but the crowd was delirious when they inserted "Brazil" in the lyrics of "I Want it That Way", one of the hits.
Speaking of repertoire, there were many hits like "As Long As You Loved Me," "Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely," "All I Have to Give" and "I'll Never Break Your Heart", all from the peak of the group's career, which began to make success in Brazil in the late 1990s, when he was Kevin Richardson, Brian's cousin, among the members. He left the band in 2006. Since then, the group released the album "Unbreakable" and "This Is Us." At the same time, Brian decided to return to the origins to bring to market the gospel solo CD "Welcome Home".
This is the fourth passage of the group in Brazil, the first for the federal capital. After beginning the tour in Recife and Brasilia pass, the Backstreet Boys are still present in Belo Horizonte (Chevrolet Hall, 23rd), in Rio de Janeiro (Citibank Hall, 25) and closes the season in Brazil in Sao Paulo (Credicard Hall 26).
The tour, "This is Us" is still traveling the world. In June, the Backstreet Boys on tour debut "NKOTBSB," a partnership with New Kids On The Block boy band that enjoyed success in the 1980s...
