Two grown-up boy bands who have kept strong followings in Toronto have united for a tour that brings them here next summer. New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys play the Air Canada Centre on June 9, 2011, but tickets will go on sale Nov. 19; no word yet about prices, however.
In other news, tickets go on sale Friday morning via Ticketmaster for Bon Jovi’s show at the ACC next Valentine’s Day. Ticketmaster’s website suggests the tickets will cost $18-148 — with pre-sale already available to members of the band’s online fan club. Meanwhile, Sarah McLachlan has announced a new “Sarah And Friends” tour that will take her to Massey Hall on March 17 with additional shorts sets by her band members Butterfly Boucher and Melissa McClelland. No word on tickets yet.
Other concert news: London’s New-Wave-flavoured band White Lies plays the Mod Club on Jan. 29; tickets ($25) via Ticketmaster, Rotate This and Soundscapes. And gentle folk-rocker Joshua Radin plays at Jan. 29 at the Opera House; tickets ($20) throught Ticketweb, Rotate This or Soundscapes.
