Boy, is this awkward. The Backstreet Boys are coming to Orlando, riding their sleek, shiny and somewhat rehab-ed rocket to fame back to the launching pad for the first time since 2001. So why does this feel like an old college party buddy just drunk-dialed us and asked if he could sleep on the couch?
It's true, B-Boys. We had some great times together. But 10 years after "Shape of My Heart," there are still music journalists who call us the boy band capital of the world. We're trying to run a respectable city here.
What's that, Nick Carter? The Backstreet Boys "were never a boy band"? Our bad. Must have been that Justin Timberlake kid spreading rumors again. You know he's always been jealous.
The Backstreet Boys bring their "This Is Us" tour to Hard Rock Live June 1. Tickets are $36-$100, and go on sale April 9.
