Founded by the legendary Lou Pearl Mann publish in Florida, the five boys 1996, her debut album "Backstreet Boys". The timing was conceivable favorable, for this year, Take That split up, and the Backstreest Boys set out to become their successors, with success.
To date they have sold over 100 million records, their third album "Millennium" broke in the summer of 1999 with 1.13 million copies sold the record for the biggest selling album in the first week.
After it was about the band then become quiet for some time, Nick Carter and Howie Dorough pursued solo projects and in June 2006 Kevin Richardson left the group, made the remaining four 2007 together to work again.
