AARON CARTER: Brings A Mature Waltz

It must be discouraging to dance well, yet have been twice in the bottom two. Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff have done well with the judges, but not with the voters. Last week, Carter showed maturity with his Argentine tango.

Smirnoff told Carter "We can only control our performances" and not the viewer votes. Carter felt that the waltz suits his personality "a lot more than people expect."

In a dark green suit with a white shirt and a foam green tie, Carter danced with Smirnoff who wore a foam green gown to "Three Times a Lady" by the Commodores.

Len Goodman told Carter, "You danced with maturity...You have lovely posture; you're frame was good. That's your best dance and I'm proud of you."

Bruno Tonioli summed the routine up as "The boy has become a gentleman" but noted that Carter lost his footing a couple of times."

Carrie Ann Inaba said, "I love the new Aaron Carter you're bringing to the dance floor; It's dignified."

Carter and Smirnoff received 8, 9, 8. Their total was 25. They finished second for waltz behind Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough. For individual dances, they were in third, but after the mambo marathon, the moved up and were tied with Mya and Dmitry Chaplin for second.
