1) When did you meet A.J?
I met AJ in June of 2003
2) Do You remember the first time that You worked with him? How was it?
Yes, I remember. It was at the Roxy in ....Hollywood...., in a special performance for the birthday party of his talent agent Eric Podwall and actor Shane West. It was a blast. We played Brick House and Play That Funky Music. AJ had a lot of energy, and back then he was still break dancing. We hung out back stage and he was very laid back and we talked about things from music to surfing.
3) Which was your favourite concert with him?
My favorite concerts with AJ were probably ..Berlin.. (May 2008) and ....Paris.... (June 2008), for musical and personal reasons.
4) Did You have any funny moment with him?
Well, one thing would be that the first time I visited the ..Eiffel.. ..Tower.. in ....Paris...., it was not with my wife. It was with just AJ and Marcus, his security guard. I think it was his first time too. I have video of it somewhere. It was a gloomy day and when we saw it standing there in the rain, we both thought it was pretty ugly...like a giant oil rig. But later that night, I was happy that I saw it all lit up because it was much more spectacular that way. One other funny (but maybe slightly disturbing) memory I will never forget is AJ trying to play trumpet in nothing but his underwear, in the dressing rooms of the Amsterdam Paradiso.
5) Your favourite song of A.J is...
My favorite song of AJ's is "I Quit," although there are a couple he played for me from his private recordings that are really, really good. I don't remember all of the names (I just remember one, but I won't mention it here), but if they're ever released, I'd be happy.
6) Define to A.J in three words...
Passionate, Intense, and Charismatic
