Hi AJ, early October is your new album "This is us" appeared. What an album it has become?
AJ: It's been a great album. Song by song. We are very proud of it. It shows who we are and is a good mix of pop and R'n'B. In some ways it brings us back to our roots.

Kevin has left the band three years ago. Have you used you out to work without him?
It was the beginning of something new for us to be only four. But now it's just so. For Kevin, all bets are off if he wants to come back. Who knows, maybe he comes back, yes.

Does he have plans to again become a Backstreet Boy?
These outer I am not. Currently, he still does his own thing. But I can somehow see a sparkle in his eyes. Maybe he thought about das

The Backstreet Boys, there since 1993. Many girls, including myself, have grown up with you. Do not think you sometimes, now it's enough?
No. As long as we have fun doing and as long as the fans want to hear us, we will make music. This is our passion and our lives.

As your career started, most were fans of your children and teens. These fans are now grown up. Are you or have you remained faithful to a new teen-trailer?
It is probably a mixture of both. Some of the fans from the very early time now bring their own children along to the concerts. This creates a new generation of Backstreet Boys fans. We also have brand new fans who did not like us before, or rather it might have been kept secret. I would say that our music appeals to all ages and tastes now.

In Germany, it first came out mid-nineties are quite large. Have you learned during your many and long stays here a little bit German?
A little bit of what we have learned so that we get through quite well with it. However, it is very helpful that most fans speak English. Our food but we can order in any case in German.

As a band you have already filed several long pauses. What have you enjoyed most during these phases, what is most missing?
Well, we all have families, some of us are married and have kids. We could spend the break together with them or go on trips. There is then but for all of us always have a certain point where we miss it, stand on the stage. The breaks are important, because allowing them to a few months for a normal life and take back some on the ground of facts. After such a break, we can then again be quite full of the Backstreet Boys.
